Acceptance of Terms
By creating an account or using Sellway, you agree to these Terms of Service. If you do not agree, do not use the platform.
Age Restriction
You must be at least 18 years old to use Sellway. By using the platform, you confirm that you meet this requirement.
Service Description
Sellway provides a platform for sellers to manage product listings, collect payments via Stripe, and fulfill orders through third-party suppliers. Sellway is a technology intermediary only — not a seller, shipper, logistics provider, or guarantor of any product sold through the platform.
Seller Responsibilities
- Sellers are solely responsible for the products they list, their pricing, descriptions, and supplier relationships.
- Sellers set every price and every market rate themselves: Sellway does not look up exchange rates and never converts currencies. Stripe converts payouts at its own rate and fee.
- Sellers must independently comply with Stripe's Terms of Service and any other third-party services they connect to Sellway.
- Sellers are responsible for correctly configuring their Stripe webhook and checkout URLs.
- Sellers must ensure their use of Sellway's checkout URLs complies with all applicable laws in their jurisdiction.
- Sellers are responsible for fulfilling orders placed through their store in a timely and accurate manner.
Buyer Relationship Disclaimer
Sellway has no direct contractual relationship with end buyers. The seller is the seller of record for all transactions. Sellway is not liable for undelivered, incorrect, delayed, or damaged products. Buyers must contact the seller directly for any issues.
Payment Processing, Funds & Taxes
How payments work. Payments on stores built with Sellway are processed end-to-end by Stripe, connected under the seller's own Stripe account. Money moves from the buyer directly into the seller's account at the gateway. Sellway's software prepares the checkout and records order information; it does not collect, hold, pool, transmit, or settle money at any point.
Sellway's role. Sellway is a technology platform - not a bank and not a payment company. Its payment handling never involves touching a seller's money: funds are received and settled exclusively by the licensed payment gateway. For this reason Sellway does not carry on the business of a payment aggregator as commonly defined (an entity that collects funds and settles them to merchants - which Sellway never does). Card numbers and other payment instruments are entered only in the gateway's secure checkout and are never stored by Sellway.
Seller of record. The seller is the seller of record for every transaction. Sellers are solely responsible for refunds, cancellations, chargebacks, disputes, buyer communication, and compliance with applicable payment and consumer-protection law.
Taxes and invoicing. Sellers are solely responsible for their own tax registration obligations (including any tax registration numbers), the tax rates applied to their products, and the correct tax classification of their goods and services. Invoices generated through Sellway are issued in the seller's name and are computed entirely from that seller's own product and tax settings. Sellway provides invoicing tooling but does not guarantee that a generated invoice satisfies any particular seller's statutory obligations; sellers should verify compliance with their chartered accountant or tax practitioner. Government e-invoicing clearance flows, where required of a seller, are not part of the service.
Seller Subscription & Refunds
Sellway subscription fees are billed in advance. Sellers may cancel at any time, effective at the end of the current billing period.
For details on refund eligibility and timelines, please refer to the Sellway Refund Policy.
Prohibited Uses
Sellers may not use Sellway to:
- Sell illegal, counterfeit, or prohibited goods or services
- Sell anything that violates Stripe's prohibited and restricted businesses list
- Engage in fraud, deception, or misrepresentation toward buyers
- Attempt to reverse-engineer, copy, or exploit any part of the Sellway platform
Account Termination
Sellway reserves the right to suspend or terminate any seller account at any time, with or without prior notice, for violations of these terms, fraudulent activity, or abuse of the platform.
Grievance Officer
Sellway has appointed a Grievance Officer for the redressal of consumer grievances:
- Grievance Officer (designation): Grievance Redressal Desk, Sellway
- Email: [email protected]
Complaints are acknowledged within 48 hours of receipt and resolved within one month from the date of receipt.
Country of Origin & Listing Disclosures
Sellers must accurately disclose the country of origin of every product listed through Sellway, along with truthful descriptions, pricing (inclusive of all applicable charges), and any mandatory declarations required under applicable law. Sellway provides listing fields for these disclosures; incomplete or false declarations are a violation of these Terms.
Limitation of Liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, Sellway is not liable for lost sales, failed fulfillments, Stripe outages, supplier errors, buyer disputes, data loss, or any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages. Sellway is provided on an as-is basis with no uptime or performance guarantees.
Cookies
Sellway uses strictly-necessary cookies to keep you signed in (session tokens in httpOnly cookies). Product analytics (PostHog) is opt-in only - it activates after you press "Accept all" in the consent banner, never by default. No advertising or cross-site tracking cookies are ever used. Changes to These Terms
Sellway reserves the right to update or modify these Terms of Service at any time. Updated terms will be posted on the platform with a revised date. Continued use of Sellway after changes are posted constitutes your acceptance of the updated terms.
